Dr Sachin Sampat Baldawa joined Seth G.S.Medical College, Mumbai in 1997 for pursing MBBS. He completed his medical schooling in 2003 with outstanding performances in both preclinical and clinical subjects. Following this in his very first attempt, he secured All India Rank 2 in the PG Entrance exam. a feat unmatched by any Solapurkar even today. He then completed his MS(General surgery) from KEM Mumbai in 2007 with the best outgoing student award & numerous gold medals. He completed his MCh, Neurosurgery in 2010 from SCTIMST, Kerala under guidance of Prof Suresh Nair. He has been trained to handle complex skull base tumors, aneurysm surgeries and epilepsy surgeries apart from routine neurosurgical cases. He is the only non European member to be awarded the EANS Synthes Spine fellowship in 2011 at Klinkum Recht Der Isar, Munich, Germany which enabled him to tackle complex spine surgeries.

       He is a prolific writer, with 32 scientific papers published in national and international journals. His article on “Neurosurgeon’s night” was published in “The Hindu”. Having travelled extensively across various institutes in the country as well as abroad over the last 14 years, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in handling cranial as well as spinal neurosurgical cases. Presently as a consultant Neurospinal surgeon at Solapur, he aims to provide the best Neurosurgical care with compassion, courtesy & competence. He has presently performed more than 1000 cranial & spinal surgeries over the last 6 years.
